If there were one great invention in the field of modern gadgets, that would be the Personal Digital Assistant (PDA). This is because it helps people to do the things that they need to practically everywhere and anywhere they go without worrying about the size of the gadget.
PDAs are handheld computers which can enable you to do computer works in mobility. It has been invented to ensure that people who are in different fields can always have something to rely on in terms of organizing schedules, preparing activities or a calendar, a wide storage for contact details, and an access to the Internet everywhere and anywhere possible.
Useful tips
For starters, here are some of the tips that you can actually use in buying that perfect PDA for you. Make sure that you have done your research first so you won't be lost once you started your PDA shopping.
But since it is a compact computer, "Palms" or "Palm Pilots" can be quite expensive. If you really need one, it is best to conduct a research first about PDAs—what are the good models, what is the price range, features suitable for your need, and where you can you find the reliable sellers. The research can be done by spending some time browsing the Internet and visiting sites that offer information on PDAs. Here, you can get dose of PDAs history, its current trends, and even some tips in buying the model worth of your money.
You can also ask some of your friends or people that you know who have PDAs on what they think is ideal for you. Of course, this will depend primarily on your need and nature of your work. By asking people who have PDAs, you can get first hand information on the dos and don'ts in buying and using PDAs. They can even recommend brands that have the features that you need. And if you are lucky enough, they can even recommend you to the seller whom they got their PDAs where you can get some discounts or additional PDA accessories.
Once you have done your research, it is now time to have a list of what you really need the PDA for. This is very important because you might get overwhelmed with the models that you have seen during your research and not pay attention to what you really need. The nature of your work will greatly influence your buying options. Make sure that once you have chosen a unit to buy, you can maximize its use so you will get your money's worth.
The next consideration would be is your budget. Make sure that you have allotted a budget for your PDA and don’t go beyond what you cannot really buy. If possible, in setting the budget, make an allowance of about ten percent. This will help you get the best options without really going overboard. There are so many units in the market that are quite expensive because of its features. If you think that you don’t need those features, stick to those models within the range of your budget and of your needs.
You must also know the basics of PDA. Knowing the features is very important because this will help you decide which type of PDA that will suit your needs. Features of PDA include the size of the gadget itself, color, weight, stylus for character recognition, pre-installed programs including calculator, address book, date book, and note/memo pad.
It has synchronization, connectivity options as well as memory options for you to choose from. Also, determining the PDAs processor speed is quite crucial because it will greatly determine the efficient operation of your PDA. Knowing the right type of processor chip as well it's the memory size can help you perform the tasks needed in faster and accurate manner.
To ensure that you will get what you really need at your money's worth, other important things to take note of when buying a personal digital assistant is the memory, the software, and the operating system or OS.

Relationship Evaluation
Everyone dreaded report card day in school and if you are dreading making your own relationship report card, then you need to buckle down and study! When you rank all of the aspects of your relationship between you and your spouse, you need to score in the high nineties to achieve an A+. Consider creating a ‘relationship report card’ with your spouse and watch the awakening you will both experience. When you try to complete your relationship report card, it should not turn into a ‘blame game’. It should open the lines of communication and offer some invaluable insight into your relationship as to where you need changes and improvements.
When you consider how you want to grade your partner and yourself, it is a good idea to have some pre-set guidelines as to what each grade means. For example, an ‘A’ might mean that your partner isn’t perfect, but obviously excelling. It could also mean that your partner is loving, attentive, enthusiastic and satisfying. A ‘B’ could stand for a partner who is always trying, better than most and consistently works on improvement. A ‘C’ might mean average or acceptable. ‘C’s’ always indicate plenty of room for improvement. ‘D’s’ and ‘F’s’ should be reserved for unhappy situations or even hopeless ones. ‘D’s’ indicate never hopeless while ‘F’s’ require more than just a relationship evaluation. If you find that you and your spouse have areas with a ‘D’ or an ‘F’, you need to focus on why you are giving or receiving those grades and commit to some kind of action in order to change and improve that grade. It might involve a commitment on both spouses, but if both are willing to work at it the grade is already moving higher.
When you begin working on your relationship report card, it should be graded the same way your school papers were graded with a number grade (ex. 80%, 50%, 95% and so on). Grade both your partner and yourself in areas like affection, ability to resolve conflict, attitude, commitment, communication skills, consideration level, thinking as a ‘couple’, creativity, sensitivity, flexibility, generosity, friendship and gift giving skills. Once you’ve completed that list, continue to evaluate your honesty levels, listening skills, household management skills, patience, love making, romance abilities and practice, playfulness, self-esteem, self-awareness, sense of humor, empathy, tolerance and spontaneity. If you feel that there are any other areas relevant to your particular relationship, feel free to add and evaluate at your discretion.
When you and your spouse are grading each other, be sure to both participate in grading. You can work out your own particulars, but make sure you both have a say in both of your grades. Compare and talk about your grades and why your partner believes you deserve a particular grade (this includes the good grades, too!). You’ll be surprised at how your partner sees your relationship and you’ll have invaluable insight into how he or she sees your role in the relationship. Just because you may not have earned an A+ in one area doesn’t mean that you can’t celebrate. Pat yourself (and your partner) on the back for anything over a ‘B’ and talk about ways you can improve on any ‘C’s’ and ‘D’s’.

Happy Thoughts?
Happy thoughts can be like a beautiful flower garden. They can start from a tiny idea and blossom into bigger happier thoughts. Happy thoughts are not to be taken for granted. They don't just happen. They have to be sewn and cultivate just like flower seeds or plants. To sow happy thoughts you must train yourself to always see the positive. Some questions come to mind about happy thoughts. What are happy thoughts? What makes happy thoughts? What do you do when think happy thoughts? Let us look at what are happy thoughts first. Happy thoughts can be so many different "happies" and "thoughts". Science is making tremendous headway into understanding the workings of the mind, and the tremendous impact our mental control can have over our daily lives.
Thanks to the studies of Alzheimer’s, and other dementia related disorders, we have discovered that if you keep your mind active, and happily engaged, the opportunity for diseases such as those named above, can be delayed, and in some cases, prevented. Wouldn’t it be much better to never experience the loss of your mental capacity? Especially if all you had to do was to think happy thoughts?
Happy thoughts can come to mind on a beautiful sunny day or if it is dry and the garden and lawn needs water and we get a good rain. Therefore rain was a happy thought because it served a good purpose. Rain could be looked on as ruining a day but is happy thoughts if you can see it watering your flower garden. We need to learn not to dwell on bad things but look for the good. It's kind of like this- there will always be a few weeds in our flower garden, we just need to step back and look. Sometimes they add depth or personality to our garden. Happy thoughts can be of our children. We should always be able to smile as we think of our children. Thinking of them would be like thinking of the most beautiful flowers you have ever seen.
Happy thoughts about a child would be like gathering a beautiful bouquet. You would add each thought so careful just like you would pick the most beautiful flower. Unlike live flower you gather as a bouquet these happy thoughts can be passed from generation to generation. Happy thoughts can be from having good health, good job, a nice home, or good food to eat. Our next question is "what makes happy thoughts"? You control your thoughts, so you can have happy thoughts or bad thoughts. Depending upon your choice you can have beautiful flowers or thoughts or you can have weeds or bad thoughts Making happy thoughts is not to be taken lightly.
Making happy thoughts is like working in your flower garden. There is a lot of work involved. Daily practice is a must. The smallest of flowers is sometimes the prettiest. Just like a simple "I love you", from someone. If you don't get happy thoughts from this, your weeds are taking over. Our next question is "what do you do when you think happy thoughts"? This is an interesting question. There are so many different responses you could give. Let's look at a few. Sometimes you might like to stay in that zone of happy thoughts and just enjoy the memories. Each and every person has a different definition of “happy thoughts”; the key is to find yours, and begin working and cultivating your garden of happiness.
Some like to share happy thoughts with others. This gives them happiness and most of the time the one receiving the happy thoughts enjoy them. Generally, when we have happy thoughts we have to smile. This in return replenishes our seeds in our flower garden and helps someone else seed theirs. This “happy thoughts” idea can be contagious, so don’t be surprised if your friends begin to exhibit the same outward look of happiness and optimism with life. For you see, you find what it is you seek. If you look for happiness, you find happiness; if you look for something else, generally you will find something else. Now, I ask you in all honesty: which would you rather find: happiness, or something else? Me, I’ll take happiness and happy thoughts every time!

The Pros and Cons of Working in Reality TV
The Pros and Cons of Working in Reality TV
Do you have your sights set on a career in front of the camera in Hollywood? If you do, you may experience a few bumps along the way. Yes, it is more than possible to become a famous Hollywood actor or actress, but the ride can be very bumpy. That is why many hopeful actors and actresses search for the easiest way to break into the industry. For many, that starts with reality TV. But, is it your best option?
One of the many pros or plus sides to getting started with reality television is that it is fairly easy to do so. Yes, you still have to compete with hundreds of thousands of other men and women who want to be in front of the camera, but getting an audition is much easier for this line of work than say a well-known Hollywood movie. Open casting calls are common and they aren’t just for an extra that will barely be on screen for less than five minutes.
On that same note, you may notice a slight decrease in open casting calls for reality television shows. This is due in part to those already with a name in the business. Especially on cable television, you will find that shows are often based around an already famous person or family. The Two Coreys, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, and Dog the Bounty Hunter are a few examples. Reality television shows that tend to act as a game show, like Amazing Race or The Bachelor, are often your best bet. For example, Rock of Love 2 starred Bret Michaels, but casting calls were sent out for women.
The doors that may open for you after becoming a reality television star are another pro or plus side to getting started in this line of work. Yes, a large number of reality television stars have slipped off the radar, but some are in front of the cameras just about everyday.
Did you know that Elisabeth Hasselback, a co-host on The View, was actually a contestant on Survivor? She was. A few other well-known reality TV stars that you may know include Omarosa from The Apprentice, Bob Guiney from The Bachelor and Bachelorette, and Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, and Spencer Pratt, all from the Hills. These are all reality television stars who have gone on to have relatively successful careers in front of the camera, as well with paid advertisements.
Although a number of doors can open for you after staring in a reality television show, those doors may not be what you were hoping for. Many reality TV stars find themselves behind the camera again, but often for just another reality television show. Of course, it is important to remember that your goals, drive, and determination will have a lot to do with your success. If you aim your sights higher than reality TV, you may meet your goals.
If you would like to try staring in a reality television show, it is important to always be on the lookout for open auditions or casting calls. While you do not need to have an agent, you do need to know where to look. For starters, checkout the online websites of your favorite reality television shows and networks. Open auditions may be outlined. Also, some shows, like ABC’s Wife Swap, allow you to nominate yourself with an online form.
As for how to ensure you see success, such as landing a part on a reality television show, it depends. What is the theme of the show? Be yourself, but also try to be what casting directors are looking for, such as someone with a sense of humor or someone with a sarcastic tone. Also, it doesn’t hurt to be attractive and fit. In fact, many casting directors claim that if you aren’t, you better have a good personality.
Reality television can be a great way for you to get your foot in that Hollywood door, but do remember that it does have its pros and cons.

Tips In Finding Hospitality Career Internships
Hospitality career is one of the industries that would require having an internship. This is because of the nature of the job itself. Practical skills are considered to be much important in this kind of career rather than theoretical knowledge and competency. However, a mix of both is still preferred.

Disadvantages of public schooling
When we consign our children to public schools, we feel satisfied that they are receiving 'quality education'. But, are we really getting our money's worth? More importantly, are the children gaining anything from this kind of a learning procedure?
Socialization is hailed as one of the greatest advantage of schools. This is the place where the child picks up the rudiments of social skills that help him survive. But in truth, a regular school-going child can interact only with his peers. He may bully younger children or fear older ones. He does not know how to behave with an adult. This is because in the school environment he interacts only with his peers. A homeschooling environment brings in a more natural social environment.
A regular school going child cannot read literature. He cannot keep silent or think in depth about any one thing. The artificial 'busy'ness imposed upon him by the school disallows quiet contemplation. Rowdy and destructive behavior, as seen among peers, is more noticeable in school-goers.
There is little long-standing knowledge among regular school goers because most things are learnt for the exam. There is no correlation of facts with life. The child may know a lot, but understands very little. This is where the homeschoolers beat the regular school goers. Ultimately, homeschoolers emerge more adept at facing the outside world.

First Date Etiquette
Are you a guy who just scored your first date with a new girl? If so, you may be excited and you should be. Although etiquette may be the very last thing on your mind, you should still consider it. If you want to score a second date, you need to make sure the first is picture perfect.
When it comes to meeting for a date, you have two options. You can pick her up or meet her at your destination. When possible, opt for a pickup. Even if you have to drive 15 minutes out of your way, do so. This gets your night started off on the right foot. If you and your date meet at the destination, offer to take her home if she took public transportation, like the bus or a taxi.
One of the most important rules of dating is to show up on time. Whether you pickup your date or meet her there, never be late. Even 5 minutes is too long to make your date wait. If you are not only interested in a second date, but a long-term relationship, show up on time. Leave early and call if you can’t avoid being late.
Even if you knew a girl before your first official date, it is still here where you will make the biggest first impression. So, make sure it is good. You must look presentable. This means wear something nice. Is your lucky t-shirt covered in stains and holed? If so, leave it at home. Do not over-dress, but never under-dress.
The quickest way to a girl’s heart on a first date is to show your interest. An easy way to do this is with eye contact. Always make eye contact with your woman. This can be hard when on a date with a beautiful girl, but it is a must. Is she talking to you? You better be looking in her eyes. This shows that you are paying attention to her, not her breasts or another girl across the room.
On a first date, politeness is important. Not only do you need to be polite to your date, but to those around you. Are you at a restaurant? Say please and thank you to your waiter and don’t start an argument or make a scene if something doesn’t go your way. Your date isn’t only gauging how you treat her, but how you treat others too.
A first date is not the time to say “I love you.” Are you absolutely smitten with your date? If so, that is good, but keep your lips sealed. It is okay to tell a girl you really like her, but leave the love word for later in the relationship. A first date does not translate into marriage, sex, or soul mates. If you try to make it, you may end the evening alone and a second date will only happen in your dreams.
If you just ended a long-term relationship, you may be feeling a wide array of emotions. You may be excited about your new date, but wondering what could of happened with your ex-girlfriend. This is okay and a natural feeling, but don’t utter a word. Past relationships should never be discussed on a first date. The moment you mention your ex-girlfriend, is the moment your first date is ruined. Your woman will only think about how she compares or if she is simply just a rebound date.
Most importantly, never assume you will get sex. Yes, some women do have sex on the first date, but not all. You do not want to pressure your date or disappoint yourself. For that reason, never assume you will get sex on the first date. Just be happy with a kiss. Your patience and understanding, should the woman want to wait, can help lead to a second date.
In short, you need to be polite and show your date respect. By doing so, you will both have a good time. In fact, your first date may lead to a second date, a third date, and possibly a long-term relationship.
