In this day and time it seems like everybody is in a hurry to get somewhere. But where are they going and why are they in such a hurry? It seems like we stay so stressed out and on the verge of a blow up at any time. We all need to learn to relax, and laugh a little bit. So really, we don't need to take life too seriously. It does have its disadvantages. Ask yourself is "laughter a good medicine"? It is still unclear the extent of laughter healing; but researchers have not found any harmful side effects. Perhaps taking time for just a little chuckle each day will keep us laughing a little longer. A belly laugh could be as good for your heart as a workout. Being able to laugh seems to give a person more control over themselves as well as over the situation.
A good laugh can release anger, fear, and stress. All of these can cause harm to the body over a period of time. Having the ability to laugh is in itself therapy. This keeps your brain alert and helps in learning and retaining. We should use laughter as a way of reducing tension. Usually after a round of laughter there is a more relaxed atmosphere. Being able to laugh at situations helps us to improve our disposition and hopefully it would influence the ones around us to improve on theirs. Sometimes just a laugh can dissolve anger and unite troubled friends and family. We don't always have time to go to the gym for a work out, so we need to find ways of getting in our workout, we can try laughter. You have always heard the terms "class cut up", "office clown" and "most friendly".
What do you remember most about these people? Could it be how you always laughed at the class cut up, even when you weren't suppose to, but we just couldn't help it. Oh to be young again and back in school, we are not taking life to serious then. Can you remember the things you were worried about? Who is dating, what to wear, etc...? We were living life for the moment, not in the hustle and bustle that we do now. What about the office clown? Oh, there is not suppose to be an office clown, we are in a place of business, right? Well, I always welcome the break and a good laugh; it helps keep you alert, and can improve your out put.
What about most friendly? I bet you remember how nice they were, and they were always smiling and speaking, people liked being around them. That's why you voted for them. We need to set up more family time, and that would in turn produce more "laugh" time. We as people need to see the importance of the family "laughing together"., It feels so great when a family can get together for lunch on a Sunday, and are still together at supper Sunday night. That is truly a sign that we have slowed down at least for half a day to share a few laughs and quality family time.
This is a sign we are not taking life too seriously, really, we are enjoying every minute of it. People just need to take a step back, see what is important to them. A good dose of laughter on a daily basis will keep you going through thick and thin. We need this laughter to connect with others in a healthy way. If we can laugh at ourselves, that will be a way of accepting and respecting ourselves. Laugh out loud.
